Thai Herbalism is an ancient tradition which continues to be practised in villages in Thailand today. The use of heated herbal compresses (heated muslin parcels of over 14 aromatic and therapeutic Thai spices and herbs) originated in Northern Thailand, and is used frequently in Thailand with traditional massage to help relieve aches and pains, promote natural healing, improve circulation and increase the body's energy flow. The heat from the compress carries the herbal essences and the essential oils deep into the skin, underlying tissues and organs. The treatment brings about a deep sensation of comfort and warmth, whilst stimulating the body to detoxify and heal itself.
