Elizabeth Webster Physiotherapy was founded by Liz Webster, who qualified in 1975 from Nottingham School of Physiotherapy and has over 40 years of experience as a HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist.
Liz treats patients using manual therapy; a technique where a physiotherapist uses their hands to manipulate, mobilise and massage the body tissues. She is also a strong believer in the use of Ultrasound, where high-frequency sound waves are used to treat deep tissue injuries by stimulating blood circulation and cell activity, with the aim of reducing pain and spasms, as well as speeding up healing.
Jane Cox qualified from the University of Bradford in 2008. She began her career in the NHS, Leeds and Harrogate District and also spent some time working in Special Schools in West Yorkshire. It was here she developed her interest in Neurological conditions and after working in the community for some years has gained invaluable experience in Stroke Rehabilitation working closely with Care of the Elderly. Jane is also an experienced Pilates instructor.
She has experience of treating a wide range of conditions such as shoulders, lower limb and spinal issues, she likes to use a combination of joint mobilisations, soft tissue techniques and electrotherapy along with specific rehabilitation exercises to help achieve the best results for her patients.
Jane is a member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Association of Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN) and Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
